Bomboniere Or Party Favours

Call it what you will, but this tradition commenced way way back as a gift presented to dinner guests and the like, by the host or hostess. Tradition was to give sugar almonds. Still done today, but we have more choices at our fingertips.

Tradition carries on, but styles of these pretty little gifts continued to expand as the years have rolled on.

A “sweet” idea, indeed. A pretty reminder of your wedding for your guests to treasure for some time and they can be personalised with your guests’ name

Also serving as a table decoration, these would be a beautiful addition, bringing together a beach theme. Perfectly matching our Darwin tropics. Imagine, these two little deck chairs, with the names of your guest written or even stencilled on the chair back, using them for place seatings and then the guest takes them home.

I love the bottle openers, in the form of a shell. Also could have the guests name.

This blue is so true to the colour of our beaches. Complimenting it with napkins and tie backs.  Such a vibrant and striking colour scheme, then with a touch of yellow, bringing it all together.   Lovely.

These could be a gift to the ladies, in a small pink or white voile bag tied with a beautiful satin ribbon maybe adding a few beach pebbles as a contrast.  You could add a small blue candle and have them displayed on a small glass stand, or package them in a clear plastic box, so they can be transported home.

Then for the gentlemen the compass featured bottle stopper.  I love these, so different.

So, as you can see so many choices to fit perfectly with your chosen theme and colour scheme. All tying together, creating a magical show of colour and light, one of which you and your guests will forever talk about. A truly beautiful sight. A beautiful piece of driftwood, whitened with age, would be perfect to compliment as a decoration amongst candle.  Draping and securing in place, some fairy lights.

I’m hoping this has given you some inspiration. It certainly has me, and I’m not getting married.

I couldn’t resist adding a few more photos, they’re all so pretty.
